Child Safety Standards
Public standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation
This is a translation provided for your convenience. The official version of this document is in Portuguese and prevails in case of divergence. Read the official version (Português (BR))
1.Public commitment
LivePapo maintains zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any conduct that places a person under 18 at risk. These public standards apply to accounts, profiles, content, messages, broadcasts, calls, monetization features and to any person or organization that accesses, provides, operates, promotes or supports the service, now or in the future (“ecosystem participants”).
LivePapo is exclusively for people aged 18 or over. People under 18 may not create, hold or operate an account, appear in content or a broadcast, or take part in interactions, monetization, collaboration, partnership or any other feature of the service. This restriction applies regardless of the age of sexual consent under local law, without prejudice to any more protective rule that applies.
2.What we prohibit
It is prohibited to create, solicit, intentionally access, store, send, transmit, sell, trade, promote, fund or facilitate:
- CSAM that is real, synthetic, manipulated, computer-generated, drawn or presented by any means, as defined by applicable law;
- sexualization, nudity, sexualized posing or sexual depiction of a person under 18;
- grooming, arranging a meeting, sexual contact, solicitation of intimate images or sexual conversation with a minor;
- sextortion, blackmail, threats, coercion or non-consensual disclosure involving real, synthetic or alleged intimate imagery of a minor;
- trafficking, commercial or sexual exploitation, prostitution, offers of “companionship”, illegal adoption or any transaction involving a minor;
- live broadcast, call, recording or staging of abuse, exploitation or violence against a minor;
- instructions, searches, links, groups, codes or tools intended to conceal, locate, produce, obtain or share illicit material;
- disclosure of identity, school, address, routine, location, contact details or other data that expose a minor to risk;
- encouraging a minor to purchase, give gifts, monetize, perform an activity, collaborate, receive payment, withdraw funds or generate income on the service or through an ecosystem participant;
- an adult account created for, handed over to or used by a minor, falsification of age or identity, and an adult posing as a minor for abusive purposes.
Attempts, threats, jokes, codes, emoji, external links, compressed files, payments or coded language used to facilitate this conduct also violate these standards, even where the interaction takes place in a private channel or outside LivePapo.
3.Content featuring minors on an 18+ platform
As an 18+ service, LivePapo does not allow users to post or broadcast images, voice, video, profiles or identifiable information of minors. If such content appears incidentally, report it immediately through the flow described below; do not copy, save, download, forward, email or redistribute it as evidence. LivePapo may interrupt the interaction, remove or make the content unavailable, restrict the account and take the appropriate legal measures.
4.Age assurance
LivePapo will apply age assurance proportionate to the risk and to applicable requirements, without relying on self-declaration alone where additional controls are needed. We may use signals from the store or the operating system, document verification, liveness checks, age estimation or a specialist provider, with additional review where there are indications of fraud, evasion or minority.
Data used for age assurance will be minimized, protected, retained for the shortest period necessary and used only for security, verification and legal compliance. A suspicious account may be suspended as a precaution and will have an expedited appeal procedure at team@livepapo.com.
5.How to report
The app must offer separate, clearly identified and accessible functions to Report content or a user and to Block a user, including from a profile, chat, room, broadcast and call. Recommended category: “Minor / Child safety”. Additional external channel: team@livepapo.com.
Provide only what is necessary, where possible:
- whether you want a response and whether there is immediate risk;
- the ID of the user, content, room, message, broadcast or call;
- date, time, internal link and an objective description of what happened;
- do not attach, capture, download, forward or redistribute material suspected of being CSAM; provide only identifiers or internal links.
In case of immediate danger, contact the police or your local emergency service. In Brazil, Disque 100 and the competent official channels may also be used. Outside Brazil, contact the police authority or national child protection organization in your region.
6.How we respond
Upon obtaining actual knowledge or receiving a credible report, LivePapo will take measures proportionate to the risk, to the published standards and to applicable law:
- receipt of the report and priority triage by authorized personnel;
- interruption of the broadcast, chat or call and precautionary blocking where necessary;
- immediate removal, disabling or restriction of the content where appropriate;
- suspension or termination of the account, device limitation and prevention of evasion;
- secure, restricted preservation of relevant content, records and metadata for the legally required period;
- reporting of confirmed CSAM to NCMEC, where applicable, or to the competent national, regional or international authority, following the applicable procedures and deadlines;
- protection of the potential victim, of the reporter and of the confidentiality of the case;
- an appeal process compatible with safety, without unnecessary re-exposure of the material or notification that would harm an investigation.
LivePapo will not notify the suspected person before taking action where doing so could increase risk, destroy evidence or harm an investigation, and will not ask users to forward illegal material by email or through ordinary support channels.
7.Moderation and prevention
We will maintain controls proportionate to the risk, including in-app reporting and blocking, moderation of content and conduct, trained staff, urgent escalation, limits on discovery and contact, prevention of repeat offending and evasion, fraud and age signals, audit logs, and safeguards to ensure that gifts, payments, benefits or monetization do not incentivize exploitation.
Users and ecosystem participants, current or future, must comply with these standards; contracts, integrations and onboarding processes may require equivalent controls, cooperation and training. Automated systems do not replace appropriate human review in significant decisions, and their effectiveness, bias, false positives and response time will be monitored.
8.Cooperation and confidentiality
LivePapo cooperates with competent authorities and organizations through valid process, complies with reporting obligations and preserves records only for the period necessary for safety, investigation, legal obligation and the exercise of rights. Internal access is limited, logged and subject to confidentiality. We do not disclose details that would identify victims, harm investigations or facilitate abuse.
